Like this, you can attach the Wii Remote to the steering wheel to control the game. Why are we proposing steering wheel control? Because this is another one of our attempts to break down the wall separating veteran and novice players. As you know, many people around the world regularly touch a steering wheel even though they may never have played a video game. The steering wheel control will lower the hurdle for them to start playing with the game with its intuitive play control, and will also give a fresh play-feel for veteran players.

Mario Kart DS has already introduced you to Wi-Fi competition, and Mario Kart Wii will further enhance its Wi-Fi capability, for example, by offering the opportunity for 12 players to compete simultaneously. We will also try to minimize the time needed for the online matching mechanism. Also, you will see two-wheel motor bikes. With more variations in the selection of vehicles and courses, we really want as many players as possible to enjoy racing with Mario Kart Wii.

We are planning to launch Mario Kart Wii in spring of 2008.

At the opening of the 2006 E3 media briefing Mr. Miyamoto wielded a baton, but since then, we haven't shown anything about this Wii Music. After the presentation today, our staff members will actually be playing with Wii Music on the floor. We would like this software to also break down the psychological barrier between novice and veteran players. We hope many people will enjoy playing Wii Music together.
