In the beginning, the video game market existed like this.

First by introducing Nintendogs, we expanded the definition of video games like this, and we could appeal to new audiences.

And, then, we launched Brain Training and More Brain Training in May and December to further expand the definition and, the number of people who are interested in video games increased again.

And then, such new themes as English training and cooking were proposed one after another, which expanded the definition as well as the number of interested audiences.

In such an expanded market, huge hits like Animal Crossing and New Super Mario Brothers arrived, and the sales of each topped 4 million units. Notably, these titles have been showing a very unusual sales trend of being very consistent, long-term sellers. This is because, as new customers were starting to play games, these titles have become the very first and 2nd additional games for them to play in their lives. Having multiple four-million sellers within a short period of time is very unusual. The reason why unthinkable things are actually happening is that the market has shown drastic change, and is creating new demands one after another.

Nintendo will once again try to expand the definition of gaming with Wii Fit and try to further expand the gaming population.

Thank you very much for listening!
